Although easily inspired, Julie Celina is especially drawn to ethnobotany, symbolism, distant worlds, and the simple things in everyday life, which are the primary themes dominating her semi-surreal artworks.

After years of longing for a slower-paced life closer to nature, Julie Celina now resides on the tiny, raw, and windy island of Fanø on the Danish west coast, in the middle of a national park called The Wadden Sea, where she is surrounded by endless beaches, fields of heather, and fairytale-like village
