Bold Table Tennis Player
A striking portrait of quiet intensity — this is not a sports print. It's a study in character.
Victor Tkachenko's "Bold Table Tennis Player" captures a figure mid-moment, dressed in an impossibly detailed striped suit, holding his paddle with the calm confidence of someone who has already won. The face, painted with expressive, almost theatrical colour, stares directly at you — unflinching.
The layered linework, raw texture, and bold palette make this piece impossible to ignore. It commands a wall rather than decorating it.
A statement piece for the collector who wants art that starts conversations.

The artist behind the work
Victor Tkachenko
Victor Tkachenko is a Ukrainian-born artist now based in Toronto, creating emotionally charged figurative works that blur the line between realism and abstraction. Known for his haunting, dreamlike imagery, he works primarily with acrylic on board — building up richly textured surfaces through bold, deliberate brushwork, often enhanced with ink, varnish, or plaster.
His style draws on symbolism and expressionism, with elongated forms and layered tones that evoke a deep sense of mystery and melancholy. Figures emerge from shadow, never fully revealed, inviting the viewer into a contemplative space between recognition and the unknown.
